With cold temperatures dominating the country, and even Atlanta and Florida and Texas feeling the deep freeze I begin to wonder how do the birds survive these extreme temperatures?
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology is interested in this question as well. And they’re having a contest where you can win great stuff like binoculars, books, cards, and other goodies.
Enter the Winter Bird Survival Challenge by taking a photo of how birds survive in your neighborhood. Or shoot a video, write a poem, write a story, etc. Just be creative and submit your entry to them.
And most of all, HAVE FUN!
How are the birds doing in this cold in your neck of the woods?
