This photo is of our solitary bee houses that we put up in the yard this spring.
We have great success with having most of the holes mudded over. I posted more info about these bee nesting boards at Restoring the Landscape
Our yard has been an ongoing restoration with native plants since we moved in 6 years ago. We have only used native plants in our restoration efforts and have had an amazing increase in the number of insect and bird species since reducing the size of the lawn and creating more wildlife habitat.
