I was thrilled this week when an online buddy wrote an article about his garden which was inspired by Ecosystem Gardening. He took to heart some of the things that I’ve written about here and designed a garden to share his space with wildlife.
Scott Artis is a Fishery and Wildlife Conservation expert. You may know him as @journowl on twitter. He has an extraordinary passion for trying to protect the burrowing owls who are in danger because critical habitat is being lost to development.
I’ve been so inspired by Scott’s dedication to protecting the Burrowing Owls that I’ve listed him several times in the weekly Best of The Web.
While you’re checking out Scott’s garden, just imagine yourself sitting in that beautiful gazebo on that comfy couch and watching the birds and butterflies and other critters swirl around you. I can really see myself sitting there. Can’t you?
Now we’re going to put the ball in your court.
If you have been inspired by anything that you’ve read here to add something to your garden to help wildlife, I’d like you to show it off.
If you’ve got a website, write a post and tell us about your wildlife garden. Leave a comment below telling us about it so that I can link to it and every one will be able to cheer your success.
If you don’t have a website or blog, use the Show Off Your Garden feature to upload your photo and wildlife garden story here and I’ll post it for you so we can cheer your success, too.
You can show us the birds in your garden, the native plants you’ve put in to benefit wildlife, butterflies nectaring at your beautiful blooms, bees and other pollinators flitting from flower to flower. The toad who lives in the pile of rocks.
The list can go on and on, and it will as you share your garden with us. And kudos to you for choosing to share your space with wildlife!
So what’s in your garden?
Show off Your Wildlife Garden–we’d love to see what you’ve got, so pick your favorite photo of your habitat garden and get the chance to be published at Ecosystem Gardening
