Kevin, kudos to you for your rain water capture tank! It's so important for us to learn to manage our rainwater where it falls. I use all of the fallen leaves to mulch my garden. It's so much fun to watch the birds pick through them all winter long.

loads of mulch is important in any garden - it helps the rain soak into the ground before it evaporates and also provides a nice humid damp home for many insects will will bring in lots of wildlife to you garden. It also helps to feed your plants as the litter stats to break down and decompose.
I've also got a buried rain water capture tank which collects rainwater from the roof and saves it till I need to use it to water the garden during the summer.
