There are so many reasons to go native, and this is certainly a compelling one. As gardeners, we are more in tune with nature than many others, so protecting and caring for the creatures that live in our area should be of paramount importance.

Not only that, but native gardening is easier. The plants are well suited to the growing conditions, and therefore are easier to take care of.

But I totaly agree that native plants, in an outside garden, are the best for the wildlife. So, the native animals could live with the native plants.
Do you know ecological pool?
I will find some links for you if you want.
I got a friend, in Burgundy, France, who made one in his garden, near vineard. It's so beautiful.
Lots of frogs, fish, insects, and sometimes, a fox!
