		<description>I have spent more than 60 hours in the last two weeks trying to mechanically remove chinese wisteria.  I didn&#039;t plant it.  It was here when we bought the house.  It was in a ravine we own that parellels the main property, so I didn&#039;t really notice it.  Some of the roots were about 8-10 inches in diameter.  I had to get an electric chainsaw for them.  I&#039;m starting to see a difference, but know I&#039;ve got many more hours to go.  Neighbors have tried to stop me because they &quot;enjoy&quot; the wisteria in the spring.  However, I&#039;ve noticed that none of them are growing it themselves.  DON&#039;T EVER plant this stuff.  &quot;INVASIVE,&quot; is not a strong enough description.</description>
